Sharon N. Irvin, 81, of Sunset Home in Quincy, formerly of Loraine, died at 4:25 a.m. Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the home.
Born July 1, 1940, in Marshalltown, Iowa, Sharon was the daughter of H. Darrell and Nina Julia Baker Crumbaugh. She married Louis Lee Irvin on January 7, 1961, at Asbury Methodist Church in Springfield. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2018.
Sharon had been employed in the healthcare field most of her life which included stints at Golden Good Shepherd Home, Blessing Hospital, North Adams Home, and retiring from St. Mary's Hospital. After retirement, she enjoyed serving as a lobby attendant at McDonald's Broadway in Quincy. Sharon enjoyed homemaking, piano, and arts and crafts.
Surviving are three sons, Roger Irvin and his children, James Darrell and Eric Irvin, Mark (Sheila) Irvin and his children, Steven (Lexi) Irvin, Zachary, Hailey, and Kaelyn Laurich, and Mike (Amanda) Irvin and his children, Ella and Hayden Irvin; two daughters, Darlene Roberts and her children, Alizabeth and Alexander Roberts, and Vicki (Jeff) Schmoll and their children, Lucas Prange, and Mitchell (Chalee) Ballard and Logan (Breezie Zessin) Ballard; five great-grandchildren, Chase Irvin, Ranger Irvin, AJ Irvin, Rio Irvin, and Liam Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a granddaughter.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 5 at Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Quincy.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.
Memorials may be made to Sunset Home Activity Fund.
