Robert Lee Asbridge Sr., 84, of Quincy, (formerly of Camp Point and Fort Myers, FL.) died at 10:20 a.m. Monday, December 13, 2021, at Bickford Cottage in Quincy.
Born January 20, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, Robert was a son of Chester V. and Thelma B. Hedrick Asbridge. He married Lois Ann Brecher on March 4, 1955, in Groveland, IL. She survives.
Mr. Asbridge retired from Growmark Inc. where he had served as a transport driver. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Camp Point. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and camping. While residing in Fort Myers, Robert was known as the "fix-it guy" as he always enjoyed an opportunity to help others. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
Survivors in addition to his wife are his daughter, Susan Lynn Farlow (Gary), Fowler; two sons, Robert Lee Asbridge Jr. (Deb), Corrales, NM, and Alan Dean Asbridge, Quincy; seven grandchildren, Scott Farlow (Shannon), Greg Farlow (Ramsie), Amanda Cain (Matt), Matthew Asbridge (Katie), Abby Schieferdecker (Tyler), Corey Broshious, and Candi Dean; ten great-grandchildren; and his sister, Jane Schock (Bill), Morton, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Asbridge.
Mr. Asbridge was cremated. Private family services will be held at the Faith Baptist Church in Camp Point.
Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church or the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
