Patricia Akins

Patricia Ann “Pat” Akins, 68, of Augusta, IL died at 11:05 am Monday February 1, 2021 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

She was born on May 29, 1952 in Quincy, IL to Frank and Margaret Redenius Greenough. She married Larry Akins on December 6, 1970 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden. He survives.

Pat was a 1970 graduate of Central High School in Camp Point. She had worked as a nurses aid in several area nursing homes.

She is survived by a daughter, Karen (Richard) Roth of Augusta, IL, a son, Jeffrey (Pamela) Akins of Perry OH, a sister, Janice (Fred) Elfritz of Sun City, AZ and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Linda Greenough.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday February 5, 2021 at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, IL by Rev. Tom Spain. Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of services. Cremation will be accorded following the service. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
