Mike Foster

 Mike Foster, 69, of Burlington, IA, (formerly of Golden, IL), passed away at 5:58 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, IA.

 Born July 29, 1955, in Quincy, IL, Mike was the son of Charles Raymond and Marie (Gerdes) Foster.

 Mike worked for 50 years at the Iowa Ammunition Plant in Middletown, IA. He was an avid Burlington Bees baseball fan and loved wearing his Hawaiian shirts. Mike enjoyed golfing and bowling with his friends, and he also volunteered during Steamboat Days and assisted with weekly dirt car races at 34 Raceway. His greatest joy came from spending time with his friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews.

 Survivors include his mother, Marie Foster; his son, Sam Foster; his siblings, Tom Foster, Cyndi Kimble, and Mark Foster; his nieces and nephews, Michelle Loewe (Aaron), Melissa Foster, Greg Foster (Brittney), and Kayla Benali; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Payton (Kaleb), Katie, Hannah, Ava, Paige, Elizabeth, and Adam; and two estranged children, Luke Dittmer (Anne) and their children, Remi and Maggie, and Sarah Dittmer.

 He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Foster; his grandparents; and a sister in infancy.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden, IL, with Rev. Ronald Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens in Golden.

 Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden.

 Memorial contributions may be made to 34 Raceway for Kids Night.
