Mary Ann Deming

Mary Ann Deming, 77, of rural Camp Point, died at 6:40 a.m. Saturday, December 25, 2021, at her home.

Born February 3, 1944, in Charles City, Iowa, Mary Ann was the daughter of Ralph and Lucinda Clara Paben Winfield. She married Edwin Deming on July 1, 1961, in Palmyra, MO. He survives.

Mary Ann had been employed at Motorola in Quincy, Grandview Nursing Home in Camp Point, Tres Comp in Quincy, and retired from Methode Electronics in Golden.

She enjoyed attending horse sales, pony pulls, and cattle sorting events. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Debbie (Steve) Cooley, Versailles, Randy (Angie) Deming, Mt. Sterling, and Tammy (Paul) Means, Camp Point; her grandchildren, Megan Eveland, Mt. Sterling, Brooke (Lathan) Williams, Mt. Sterling, Ryan (Stephanie) Sparks, Clayton, Jason Sparks, Camp Point; her step-grandchildren, Sebastian (Anna) Francis, Houston, TX., Cameron Francis, Quincy, McKinley Means, Camp Point, Stephanie Meyer, Toledo, IA., Tosha Cooley, Springfield, and Brandon Cooley, Mt. Sterling; her great-grandchildren, Chloe Eveland, Zeke Palmer, and Makynnlae Williams, all of Mt. Sterling, Sophie Sparks, Clayton, Maricela Williams, Mt. Sterling, and baby Sparks due in June; her step great-grandchildren, Liam Francis, Houston, TX., Kady and MaKenna Miller, Ames, IA., and Olivia Hodges and Willow Whited, both of Springfield, IL.; her sister Ruby Fern (Bob) Cookson, Clayton, her brother in law, Jim (Janet) Deming Coatsburg; and numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dick Winfield; her sister, Susan Cookson.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 29 at Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point by Rev. Sheri Renner.

A visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.
