Loren G. Balzer, 83, of Timberpoint Healthcare Center in Camp Point, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the home.
Born November 24, 1939, in Quincy, IL., Loren was a son of Loren E. and Edla C. Aden Balzer.
Loren was employed as a computer programmer for Gardner Denver in Quincy for many years. Loren loved horses and as a younger man enjoyed water skiing and roller skating.
He was a 1953 graduate of Central High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his sister, Sharon Oenning, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Marilyn Neff and JoAnne Fugate, and two brothers, Jerry, and twin brother Larry Balzer.
Graveside Services with military honors will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Camp Point V.F.W.
