Lawrence J. "Larry" Moore, 90, of Camp Point, Illinois, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 10:21 a.m. at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Illinois.
Born on November 29, 1933, in Brown County, Illinois, Lawrence was the son of Kline and Frances (Matton) Moore. He married Pauline Cookson, who preceded him in death on July 29, 1994, and later married Phyllis Robinson, who also preceded him in death on October 31, 2014.
Survivors include his children: Steven Moore of Quincy, Illinois; Robin (Mark) Schmelzle of Quincy; and Tammy (Troy) Staats of Jacksonville, Illinois; his daughter-in-law, Barb Moore of Camp Point; his stepdaughter; his grandchildren: Nathan, Rodney, Levi, and Sasha; five step-grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Betty Waelder of Quincy; his brother, Gary (Lou Ann) Moore of Springfield, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, both of his wives, his son, Thomas Moore, and his siblings: Wayne, Gordon, Leroy Moore, and Doris Barry.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home, officiated by Brother Andy Lear. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point, Illinois.
Visitation will be held Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Quincy.
