Larry Moorman

Larry E. Moorman, 74, of Mt. Sterling, died at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Born July 15, 1947, in Quincy Larry was a son of Raymond and Ethel Lee Moorman. He married Rosemary E. Veith on July 15, 1973, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mt. Sterling. She preceded him in death on July 20, 1998.
Larry worked along side his brother, Rick, and his father in the operation of Moorman's Garage in Mt. Sterling for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed Ham Radios', drag racing, and flying.
Survivors include his daughter, Laura Kerker (Brad), Mt. Sterling;  two sons, Larry Moorman (Sara), Milton, WI., and Edward Moorman (Jill), Peoria, IL.; four grandchildren, Adam Kerker, Bloomington, IN., Jennah Kerker, Mt. Sterling, Grayson Moorman, Milton, WI., and Max Moorman, Peoria; his sister, Kathy Pople (Pete), Pekin, IL.; two brothers, Rick Moorman (Robin), Mt. Sterling, and Earl Moorman, Havana, IL.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Mt. Sterling Catholic Cemetery by Rev. Aaron Kuhn. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Iowa Bone Marrow Transplant Unit.
