Jeffrey D Harris

Jeffrey Dean Harris, also known as “Jeff” or “Bodean” 38, of Plymouth, IL died at 3:26 pm Sunday April 16, 2023 at OSF Healthcare in Peoria, IL.

He was born on February 19, 1985 in Quincy, IL to Jeffrey Dean Harris and Kim L. Simpson. He married Brittanie Grace Couchman on April 3, 2023 in Carthage, IL and looked forward to starting their new life as one. She survives.

He spent much of his early teen and adult years in Florida and Georgia before moving back to Illinois. Jeff is described as a family man who was always helping others. He loved being a dad and enjoyed raising he and Brittanie’s six girls; Gabriella, Auriella, Jayden, Lyric, Harper and Symphony. If you knew Jeff, you knew his goofy/tough guy personality. There aren’t many pictures of Jeff where he wasn’t making a silly face with his tongue out and eyes crossed. Jeff was known for being a hard worker who was recently promoted to Plant Manager at Roquette America in LaHarpe, IL. He was driven and his employer had big plans for him.

Everyday Jeff lived by putting others and his family first, even being known as the guy who would give the shirt off his back to help another. Jeff will be remembered for his huge heart and fun-loving personality. Honoring his wish to be an organ donor brings such comfort to Jeff’s family. The opportunity to help others through these gifts is an extension of how he lived his life helping and being kind to others and will create a legacy for generations to come.

He is survived by his father; Jeffrey Dean Harris of Atlanta, Ga. A brother, Mike (Rita) Beckman of Oconomowoc, WI a sister, Missy (TyTy) Jackson of Atlanta, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kim Common

A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 pm Saturday April 22, 2023 at the Plymouth Circle Community Center at 102 South Lexington St. in Plymouth, IL. Memorials may be made to his family. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation.
