Jean Taylor

Jean Taylor, 88, of Quincy, formerly of Clayton, died  11:55 p.m. Saturday, December 24, 2021, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Born March 24, 1933, in Clayton, IL., Jean was a daughter of Orval and Nellie Taylor Daggett.  She married Harold L. Taylor on September 24, 1950, at Poe Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2017.

Mrs. Taylor was employed at Motorola in Quincy until its closing. She enjoyed doing puzzles.

Survivors include a daughter, Vicky Whittle, Hermitage, MO.;  a son, Mike Taylor (Julie), St. Charles, MO.;  and a daughter, Debbie Havermale (Jerry), Payson;  her grandchildren, Krista Smith (Mike), Jason Taylor (Danielle), Kimberly Whittle, Matthew Whittle (Kelly), Gary Whittle, Cody Whittle, Dan Havermale (Jill), and Nick Havermale; twenty-three great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Sonny Whittle; and two brothers, Russell (Ethel) Daggett, and Richard (Pat) Daggett.

Private family graveside services will be held at Mounds Cemetery near Timewell.
