Helen J Gallamore

     Helen J. Gallamore, 87, of Camp Point, IL, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. 

     Born May 31, 1937, in Quincy, IL, Helen was the daughter of Bert and Mabel Ward Abbott. 

     Helen dedicated her life to the Lord in baptism at Central Baptist Church in 1945 and lived each day accordingly. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Camp Point and had a deep commitment to her faith. She was also a passionate race fan and recently became an enthusiastic supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs. 

     Helen is survived by her brother, Ralph Abbott of Richmond, VA; a very special sister-in-law, Dodie Abbott; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Survivors include; Paul Abbott, David Abbott, Mark Abbott, Carol Tompkins, Debbie Weese, Carl Abbott, Ken Abbott, James Jessup, Tony Jessup, Becky Arseneau, Willhellmina Exelby, Cecelia Jessup, Denise Hawks, Mike Abbott, Diane Given, Bobby Abbott, Sandy Waterman, and a special great-niece, Kimberly Abbott. 

     She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Annie Mae Hogge, and two brothers, Bill and Bob Abbott. 

     Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Faith Baptist Church in Camp Point, with Pastor Tom Robbins officiating.      A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, at the Faith Baptist Church.
