Helen P Furgerson

Helen P. Furgerson, 97, of Timberpoint Healthcare Center in Camp Point, IL, formerly of Coatsburg, IL, passed away at 8:48 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

Born April 29, 1927, in Benville, IL, Helen was the daughter of Robert and Dora Hughes Waters.

Helen enjoyed watching and feeding birds. She had been employed at Oscar Mayer in Davenport, IA, for 47 years.

Surviving is her sister, Glenda Orrill (Milton Gooding), Coatsburg, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters: Roberta, Martha, and Maxine; and two brothers: Olen and Nathaniel George, who passed away in infancy.

Helen was cremated. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Graymount Cemetery in Coatsburg.
