Donald Ussery

Donald L. Ussery, 89, of Plymouth, IL passed away at 10:01 pm Sunday December 1, 2024 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

 He was born on November 13, 1935 in Doddsville, IL to Odes Paul and Ruthie Fern Stoneking Ussery. He married Carolyn Rigg on December 25, 1958 in Fandon, IL. She survives.

 Don was a graduate of Plymouth High School. He owned and operated Ussery Trucking in Plymouth, IL for many years. He was a member of the Plymouth Methodist Church, he served his country in the United States Army from 1958-1960. Don was an avid Harley Davidson motorcycle rider, he also enjoyed listening to country music and tinkering in his shop.

 He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, 3 children, Pam (Jack) Manley of Colmar, IL, and their children, Lucas (Misty Roberts) Manley, Lacey Manley, Kevin (Nancy) Ussery of Plymouth, IL and their children, Denise (Ben) Christian, Alex (Jamie) Ussery, Eric (Kaylee) Ussery, Aaron (Kay) Ussery, Jeff (Nicki) Ussery of Mt. Sterling, IL and their children, Kyle (Emily) Ussery, Brandon (Alexis) Ussery, 16 great-grandchildren and nephew, Curt (Susan) Eddington and many other nieces and nephews survive.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Wanda Eddington.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday December 6, 2024 at the Plymouth Circle Community Center with Pastor Sheri Renner officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood cemetery in Macomb, IL. Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service at the PCCC. In lieu of flowers his family request memorial contributions be made the Plymouth Circle Community Center.
