She particularly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and in her free time, she found peace and happiness in her garden. After raising her sons, Carol volunteered at the nursing home, donating many bingo prizes, and cleaned homes for many families in the area.
In addition to her husband, Butch, Carol is survived by her two sons: Mike Likes (Lori) of Golden, Illinois, and David Likes (McKinzie) of Camp Point, Illinois; her grandchildren: Collin, Elliott, Kaiser, Ryder, and Meyer Likes; her sisters: Barbara Carlson of Independence, Missouri, and Marilyn Stout of Golden, Illinois; her brother: Melvin Meyer (Sharon) of Liberty, Illinois; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Dillon Michael Likes; and her sister, Shirley McLaughlin.
