Brody Wayne Hamilton, 13, of rural Loraine, IL passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family at 6:25 pm Tuesday January 4, 2022  after a three year brave and courageous battle with brain cancer.

Born September 20, 2008 in Springfield, IL Brody was the son of Brian and Mandy Hamilton.

First and foremost, Brody loved his family and friends. He also loved basketball, time spent gaming on his PS4 with family and friends, and side by side riding. He was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan until they traded Anthony Rizzo to the New York Yankees.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his sister, Kaitlyn Hamilton, Loraine; his maternal grandparents, Rick and Carolyn Homan, Augusta, his paternal grandparents, Jack and Chris Hamilton, Augusta; his maternal great grandparents; Shirley and Earlene Homan, West Point; his paternal great grandmother, Marilyn Flesner, Golden; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by maternal great grandparents; Arlo and Eileen Clampitt; paternal great grandparents, Virgil Flesner, Wayne Hamilton, and Alice Jean Vollbracht and Roy Jr.

A visitation will be held Friday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Bowen.

A private funeral service will be held Saturday at the Living Faith United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Mini Relay or the Illinois Make a Wish Foundation.
