Allen Deshong

Allen Deshong, 46, of Bowen, IL died at 11:53 am Wednesday November 25, 2020 at his home in Bowen, IL.

He was born on December 16, 1973 in Quincy, IL to Orville “Dan” and Gladys Lockamy Deshong.

Allen attended Southeastern schools. He was a truck driver for Todd Thompson. Allen enjoyed motorcycle riding, building and driving low rider trucks, racing RC cars, golfing and especially enjoyed grilling and cookouts with his family and friends.

He is survived by a son; Isaac Deshong of Carthage, IL, his father, Dan Deshong of Bowen, IL, 2 brothers, Ronnie Deshong of Augusta, IL and Kevin (Amy) Deshong of Bowen, IL, a sister, Tracy (Dan)  Stambaugh of Augusta, IL, 2 nephews, Daniel Deshong and Alec Heath, 3 nieces, Lexy Deshong, Danica Wilhelm and Bridgette Deshong, 1 great-nephew, Easton Wilhelm and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys and his maternal grandparents, Roland and Eloise Lockamy and paternal grandparents, Gaylord and Eula Jean Deshong.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Monday November 30, 2020 at West Point cemetery in West Point, IL with Rev. Patsy and Jerry Spratt officiating. Friends may view and sign the register book from 2:00 to 4:00 Sunday afternoon at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, IL.
